About:

Bob pastored at Crossroads Christian Fellowship from 1996 through his retirement in 2019. Prior to ministry on Kaua'i, he served as Associate Pastor in upstate New York and on Oahu. Bob graduated from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary (M.Div. 1989) and University of Hawaii (B.A. Speech; minor in Business,1980). Although Bob is retired and living with aggressive stage 4 cancer, he continues to do everything he loves most: sharing the gospel, encouraging believers, mentoring emerging leaders, coaching pastors and helping people navigate and heal from cancer.

Bob committed his life to Christ at a young age, but it wasn't until he was 17 that he realized he was still unfulfilled despite numerous achievements. Inspired by the lives of fellow Christian students, Bob recommitted his life to Christ and experienced an incredible lifting of guilt and a new love for God and others. During his college years, God confirmed His calling on Bob's life for full time ministry.

While serving at a church in Hawaii, Bob fell in love with Becky and married (1987), becoming lifetime partners in ministry. Desiring further training, Bob and Becky left for seminary and became convinced of the immense value of personal discipleship. In New York, he focused primarily on leadership development and discipleship. After ten years of ministry in the northeast, God led Pastor Bob and Becky across the continent, back to Hawaii, carrying the same passion for evangelism and discipleship.

For the next 23 years, Pastor Bob and Becky poured their heart and soul into building a healthy fellowship that was committed to 1) Loving God, 2) Loving Others and 3) Making Disciples. What was once a struggling church became known as a very unique, loving, outreach-oriented fellowship. Over many years, God blessed the church beyond anyone’s expectations: launching radio stations, entrusting the church with 66 acres for ministry development, establishing Kaua'i Bible College, planting new churches, and setting up a drug rehabilitation program.

In 2017, Pastor Bob was diagnosed with aggressive stage 4 prostate cancer and was not expected to live very long. God has truly blessed Bob with longer life than expected and an incredible joy as he embraces cancer, his new platform for sharing Christ! Bob and Becky's new ministry, The Epic Life, is designed to encourage and equip believers and support those dealing with cancer.

Bob and Becky love going on dates and enjoying outdoor exercise together. They also cherish the times they have to spend with their wonderful adult sons, daughter in law and granddaughter!
