1. The Need for the life
The church has accepted a non-discipleship Christianity. The result is an anemic spirit that continually needs artificial stimulation. And every program that is required to interest disciples in reaching others is a concession. We have a developed a Christian theology that is appallingly self-centered, it seems to be all about us. We have constructed a Gospel that satisfies our consumer mentality but has left our souls hungry. There is a need to return to the life that Jesus lived. A life of humility, submission, sacrifice, and service. This particular message opens up the can of worms, but also a new world that has been lost. It calls on every listener to make a choice, a choice to reject the consumer Gospel and follow Jesus in his life.
