Founder of Bible.org
The founder of Bible.org wishes to remain anonymous (cf. Matt 23:11-12). The Lord gave him a vision for developing an internet platform so that gifted teachers could teach to millions of people by posting their good, solid Bible study material on the web. In 1994 he founded Biblical Studies Foundation (also known as Bible.org). He grew up attending a church in Texas where Hampton Keathley III was pastor for many years.
Michael comes to Bible.org with 30 years of management experience, 26 years in manufacturing of which 16 years were in executive management. He believes every Christian should live out Matthew 28:19-20 and Matthew 25:35-36. He has a passion for evangelism and helping new believers begin their life with Christ. Michael and his wife of 20 years live in Texas with their two sons.
VP of Technology
Hampton Keathley IV, Th.M.
As cofounder of Bible.org 19 years ago Hampton handles a variety of technical items: networks, servers, programming, along with print and electronic publishing. As a Dallas Theological Seminary student Hampton crafted his own Greek and Hebrew fonts and started Galaxie Software when scholars started using PC’s to write their research. He was the first to figure out how to type the Hebrew right to left. Galaxie Software annually produces the renown Theological Journal Library consisting of over thirty evangelical Christian academic journals. It is available in Logos, WORDsearch, Accordance, and online. Hampton is innovative and business minded. His strengths include automation, publishing, and linear thinking. He has a passion for Christian apologetics and is an author on Bible.org.
VP of Operations
David Lawson, MBA
David has over 16 years of executive leadership experience in the nonprofit and business sectors. He served as Senior Vice President of Prison Fellowship Ministries, Executive Vice President of The Urban Alternative, and was in leadership and management roles at IBM Corporation. That's right, he has shaken the hands of Chuck Colson and Dr. Tony Evans. He is also a former member of the Standards Committee of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA). David has a successful track record of leading organizational transformation strategies designed to improve processes, efficiency, costs and overall bottom line performance.
Bob Deffinbaugh, Th.M.
Bob graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1971. For the past 37 years he has served as the primary teaching elder at Community Bible Chapel in Richardson, Texas. Bob has been involved with Bible.org since its inception. His voluminous Bible studies and sermons are posted on Bible.org. Bob recently retired from his teaching position in the church and now serves as a ministry coordinator and facilitator at Bible.org. Bob’s focus is on acquiring top quality Bible study resources and ministering to those who proclaim God’s Word to others.
As Bible.org's main developer and server administrator Brian keeps the website up and running and improving! Brian has been with Bible.org since June of 2006, and works remotely from Florida.
Social Media Manager
Gabe Smith, Th.M.
Gabe manages all of the social media channels for Bible.org. He studied Communication at the University of Texas at Arlington and graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2008. He has managed Facebook pages reaching up to 8.5 million users and has consulted with businesses, ministries, and churches on using social media. He is committed to sharing the gospel and encouraging the church online.
Dr. James Davis, Ph.D.
James is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Capital Bible Seminary, and Dallas Theological Seminary. Following a thirteen year career in the Environmental Protection Agency James served as a pastor, translator and editor of the Holman Christian Standard Bible, author, and seminary professor of New Testament Studies. As the Project Manager James is directly involved with developing key resources at Bible.org.
Deann Hilbig, B.A.
Deann brings 18 years of experience in financial services to Bible.org. As the financial administrator she is responsible for donations and all of the bookkeeping functions. She is a graduate of Azusa Pacific University. She and her husband have two kids.
Brian, born and raised in South Florida, uses his mixed skill set to design, develop, and draw things around Bible.org. Brought in for the 2013 redesign, Brian continues to work as a freelancer for Bible.org, assisting us in our goal to spread God's Word across the web.
Lauren Menge, Th.M.
Lauren joins the Bible.org team after working for the D.Min. program at Dallas Theological Seminary as an Administrative Assistant. She graduated from Moody Bible Institute and Dallas Theological Seminary. She is married and has a black lab puppy. She speaks Spanish and enjoys volunteering with the Women's Ministry at her church, playing guitar, writing and encouraging others to think theologically and study the Bible.
Blessed to have grown up in the Church Jennifer has always found ways to serve others. As an adult she has served in her Church as the Children's Ministry Director, Sunday School coordinator, and Children's Choir Director. Married for 19 years with three boys. She is currently the Personnel Manager and the Administrator of the forum. When she is not volunteering for Bible.org she is busy helping others become fit, camping with the family and reading.
