6. Eyewitness Testimony of the Disabled Man (John 5:1-18)Related Media
The Gospel of John (part six)
Among the many disabled people scattered around the bathing pool, one man stood out to Jesus. He was alone. He was marginalized even among the marginalized. Although it was the Sabbath, Jesus chose to heal him. This began a controversy between Jesus and the Jewish leaders who could not see the beauty of the miracle through their man-made Sabbath rules. They missed the miracle; they also missed the Miracle-Worker. Are you aware of the outcast and the marginalized around you? Do you have the humility to see God working, or does your prideful certainty prevent you from relishing in God’s mystery? Can you see the Miracle-Worker today?
