Exodus (part four)
How would a murderer feel when he learns he’s standing on holy ground in the presence of a holy God? Moses fled from Egypt because the Pharaoh learned that he had killed an Egyptian. And now, decades later, he finds himself face to face with God. And this holy God is telling him he has to return to Egypt and demand the release of the Hebrews. Naturally, these instructions are met with great hesitation and Moses has many questions. Moses doesn’t feel like God has chosen a worthy instrument to deliver the Hebrews. He’s right. God rarely does.
