19. Why We Should Strengthen One Another (1 Corinthians 14:1-19)

1 Corinthians (part nineteen)

Christians are expected to assemble together for worship, prayer, and instruction for the purpose of edification. This is not optional. This is one of God's highest priorities for us. I've often heard the term "holy huddle" applied to the church as an insult. But this is one of the most biblical images for the church. Ideally, Christians assemble on Sunday in a Christ-centered, God-honoring, Bible-teaching community. They worship God and they strengthen one another. And when they leave the assembly, they go as ambassadors for Christ to impact their neighborhood, their workplace, and their community. That's God's blueprint for the church. If you will, that's His game plan.
