The Gospel of John (part fourteen)

On the night that Jesus was betrayed, Simon Peter, His most loyal disciple, denied any association with Him. Nevertheless, the victorious and risen Jesus chose to appear to Peter. Moreover, Jesus engineered an elaborate strategy to extend His mercy to Simon Peter and fully restore him both relationally and vocationally. Jesus gave Peter a fresh start by recreating his initial calling, feeding him, and restoring him in a three-fold manner that matched Peter’s three-fold denial. Having sufficiently been fed by Jesus, Peter would then be the one responsible for feeding Jesus’ sheep. Do you need to be restored? Jesus is willing.
