This Power Point file briefly introduces 14 New Testament writings in English (see the Russian translation). It was created for classes in Kazakhstan taught during January of 2008. Background information for each book is provided, including author, audience, date, and theme. Outlines and key verses are provided for many books. Other bonus materials include background on the Apostle Paul, maps of Paul's journeys, and models portraying various aspects of the Christian life. The basic information on each book provides the backdrop necessary to studying the contents of thebook in more detail. The student should be introduced to this overview material first, and then encouraged to study the book in light of it. The presentation (and the course on Acts and Paul) is best subdivided into four sections:

  1. Acts, the historical Paul, and 1-2 Thessalonians (slides 1-10)
  2. Doctrinal foundation from Galatians and Romans (slides 11-15)
  3. Pastoral matters from 1-2 Corinthians and the Pastoral Epistles of 1-2 Timothy and Titus (slides 16-22)
  4. Other matters from the Prison Epistles of Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon (slides 23-26)
