About:

Sue Sewell is a wife, mother and grandmother. Sue returned to college at age 44 and graduated with a B.S. degree in 1994. She has been actively involved in Christian leadership through Bible Study Fellowship and at her church for over 30 years.

Sue's life experiences have cumulatively prepared her for the call telling her she had DCIS and invasive breast cancer. Her diagnosis led her through the "valley of the shadow of death." Now she calls herself a survivor.

While walking through diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, Sue discovered there was little, if anything, that led a woman step by step through the process with an emphasis on the sovereignty of God. Following God's leading, she penned this devotional to help others fighting this hideous disease one layer at a time. It is not only a helpful guide for the patient, but a transparent revelation to friends and family. She discovered what would be her anchor early on - there is little that she knew for sure. Basically the certainty of the world as she knew it changed with the diagnosis, causing her to boil her confidence down to this simple prayer:

Heavenly Father,

In these four things I am confident

~I was designed by Your hand,
Saved by your Son,
Filled with Your Spirit, And
~ I am walking in the circumstance of Your sovereign will.

Give me the courage, strength and grace to glorify You in all that I say and do . . .With these 4 certainties as an anchor, she not only found peace, but also confidence. In this devotional, Sue reminds the reader to keep their eyes on Christ as the white caps of life rock the boat. There is surely peace in the storm.
