Since May, 1992, I’ve been the pastor of Flagstaff Christian Fellowship, Flagstaff, Arizona. It is a Baptist church near Northern Arizona University. From 1977-1992 I pastored Lake Gregory Community Church in Crestline, California. I graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M., 1976) and California State University, Long Beach (B.A., philosophy, 1968). There are over 21 years’ worth of expository sermon manuscripts and audio sermons on the church web site: www.fcfonline.org.
The writers who have most impacted my life have been John Calvin, Charles Spurgeon, J. C. Ryle, Martyn Lloyd-Jones, John Bunyan, and Jonathan Edwards. I also greatly enjoy reading biographies of the great heroes of the faith (all of the above, plus many others, including missionary biographies).
Since March 23, 1974, I have been a happy man. That’s the day I married Marla. Our oldest daughter, Christa, is married to Shane, who works in the computer field. They live in Chino Valley, Arizona and are the parents of four daughters and three sons. Our second daughter, Joy, is married to Jonathan. They currently serve in Central Asia where they are working on learning their second foreign language. They hope to reach out to a largely unreached, large Muslim people group. They are the parents of two daughters. Our son, Daniel, is a mechanical engineer in Flagstaff and is married to Molly, a nurse. They have two sons. We enjoy God's beautiful outdoors through hiking the many trails around Flagstaff, Sedona, and the Grand Canyon (plus Colorado and beyond in the summers).
