Dr. Duncan is a retired Disciples of Christ and United Church of Christ pastor. He has two degrees in religion (MDiv and DMin) and two in economics (BA and MA) and was a Merrill Fellow at Harvard Divinity School. Dr. Duncan has served churches in three states as pastor and worked in Central America as an economic development specialist. Presently he is working part time as a pastor and part time as a social worker.
Years ago Dr. Duncan was the co-founder of the Habitat for Humanity and Bread for the World Chapters in Oklahoma and is active in both organizations still. He was on the national coordinating committee for the Jubilee USA Network and presently chairs the Jubilee Justice Task Force of the United Church of Christ.
Dr. Duncan has written a number of books on economic development, human rights, fiction, history, worship, devotions and prayers, and this summer has a book coming out that is a Christian look at the global economy. His next book will be a preacher's commentary on the Bible. He also has written for magazines and newspapers and has occasional commentaries on National Public Radio.
Dr. Duncan is married with three grown kids and four grand kids. Originally from Oklahoma, he has lived in Central America, Tennessee (while in Divinity school), Missouri, and presently Quincy, Massachusetts.
