About:

Jody is currently the Head of School of a new Christian and Classical school in Prosper, Grace Academy of North Texas, for students in PreK to grade 8. Jody has founded several schools in the Dallas area. She has also served as a minister to children at Grace Bible Church, taught graduate level teacher education classes at Dallas Baptist University, and served as director of the counseling training program at Hope for the Heart.

Jody currently serves as The School Whisperer, a consultant for schools and churches. She writes numerous blogs each week on education and parenting, and offers a free monthly newsletter with downloads available for parents and teachers.

Jody Capehart is an educator, author and speaker with nearly 40 years experience. She is the author or co-author of 20 books including Cherishing and Challenging Your Children, Teaching with Heart, Once Upon a Time, Christian Charm Course, Touching Hearts and Changing Lives, The Discipline Guide, Discipline by Design, Bonding with Your Teens through Boundaries, You and Your ADD Child, and Discipline to the Design of Your Child with additional books coming out in 2011-2012.

Jody is happily married to Paul Capehart who is in his 41^th year with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. They have 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren. Jody’s passion is for her family. They are members of Stonebriar Community Church. Her interests include reading, gardening, cooking, and swimming.
