Jim Hamilton holds a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He taught at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary's Houston campus from 2003 to 2008, and he served as the Preaching Elder at Baptist Church of the Redeemer in Southwest Houston from 2005 to 2008. In 2008 he was appointed Associate Professor of Biblical Theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and he also serves as the preaching pastor at Kenwood Baptist Church. He and his wife have three sons.
