Michael Travers (B.A., M.A., McMaster University; Dip. Ed. University of Western Ontario; Ph.D. Michigan State University) is Professor of English at The College at Southeastern, a school of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. An authority on C. S. Lewis, Dr. Travers has written Encountering God in the Psalms; with Dr. Richard D. Patterson, he co-authored Face to Face with God: Human Images of God in the Bible; and edited C. S. Lewis: Views from Wake Forest. He has also contributed articles to the Dictionary for the Theological Interpretation of Scripture, A Dictionary of Biblical Imagery, and Cracking Old Testament Codes. He has written articles in Bibliotheca Sacra, Westminster Theological Journal, and the Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society.
