Since 1993 he has been the Anglican Professor of Divinity at Beeson Divinity School, Samford University, Birmingham, Alabama. He is the author of numerous books, including The Doctrine of God; Biblical Interpretation: Past & Present; Creeds, Councils and Christ; Personal God; andDocuments Of The English Reformationas well as numerousarticles. He is also the editor of the Anglican journal "Churchman".
