Abstract

Christians have been cleansed by the blood of Christ in a special way. We have been cleansed on the inside and the outside—both in our inner life and our outer life. The Old Covenant specialized in visible, external cleansing; the New Covenant specializes in invisible, inner transformation. What we think and what we feel are as important to God as what we do. God wants to be Lord of our inner and our outer life. He wants to be Lord of our thoughts as well as our behavior. This is especially true when we approach the Lord in worship—He seeks worshipers whose hearts are just as prepared as their appearance. What have you done to prepare your heart to worship your God?
