Abstract

As he begins his conclusions, the author of Hebrews offers some final exhortations. This series of commandments seems to be somewhat disconnected at first glance, but a correlation can be made. First, the readers are encouraged to love people properly — be they fellow believers, strangers, prisoners, spouses, business partners, or leaders. Second, the readers are encouraged to remain loyal to Jesus, even if that means suffering for Him. This is a strong appeal to Christians who are considering abandoning their faith. And believers today are invited to embrace these same teachings.
