A More Desirable Faith (Hebrews 11:1-6)

From the Series: Hebrews - 26 Part Series
Printer-friendly versionSend by email

More is unseen than is seen and we should live our lives in light of the unseen reality instead of the visible reality. The Book of Hebrews emphasizes faith in action, not faith as an invisible belief. Several examples of faith in action are offered to show us what it looks like to live by faith and to motivate us to do so. These faith-filled followers demonstrated long-term perseverance, and they died without receiving their reward. But now, having kept the faith, they are enjoying unimaginable reward upon reward. The more comfortable we are in this life, the harder it is to live by faith instead of sight. Are you living by faith or by sight? Are you willing to stay faith-filled even if your reward doesn’t come in this life?
