Printer-friendly versionSend to friend

Abstract

St. Augustine is one of the early theologians responsible for establishing the foundational doctrines of the church. But he became a Christian late in life. Though his mother was a committed Christian who taught the Bible to her children, Augustine left home to live a life in rebellion to God. Monica continually and constantly prayed for his conversion. Augustine attributes his faith to his mother’s persistent prayers.
