Do you spend your time
or do you invest it? Like money, time is a perishable commodity. Unlike money
or other stewardships, each of us is given exactly the same number of hours,
minutes, and seconds in every day. So why is it that some people seem to accomplish
so much more than other people? It must have something to do with one’s ability
to manage one’s time. I’m convinced that God has certain goals for our time
each day. Each believer should strive to steward his time—his minutes and
hours—to faithfully accomplish what the Lord has assigned, including work,
rest, exercise, leisure, family time, quiet time, sleep, nutrition, etc. In
doing so, we may or may not accomplish what this world values, but we will be
found faithful by the One whose applause we seek. Do you spend your time on
accident or do you invest your time intentionally?
