The Glorious Beginning: Josephs Humble Rise (Genesis 41 – 45)

Printer-friendly versionSend to friend

From forgotten in an Egyptian dungeon to commander of Egypt! At last Joseph is rewarded for his faithfulness. At last God fulfills the promise He made to Joseph years earlier through the teenager’s dreams. And when a famine forces Joseph’s distant brothers to travel to Egypt for provisions, Joseph faces the biggest test of his life. He could repay his brothers with what they deserve, saying “I told you that one day you would bow down before me!” He could punish them, enslave them, even imprison them. Or he could respond with gracious humility toward his betrayers.
