The Glorious Beginning: Josephs Hopeful Fall (Genesis 37 – 40)

Printer-friendly versionSend by email

Simple faith and hope. Nothing pleases the Lord quite like it. God promised Joseph, a son of Jacob, that he would be an important leader one day. His brothers weren’t happy about this news, and sold him into slavery to Egypt. Yet Joseph hoped in the Lord. In Egypt, Joseph was wrongfully accused and sentenced to prison in an Egyptian dungeon. Yet Joseph hoped in the Lord. Next, Joseph was forgotten by those he helped in prison, and abandoned there for over ten years. Yet Joseph hoped in the Lord. Have you learned how to hope when your circumstances don’t warrant it? Wherever he found himself, Joseph remain faithful, faith-filled, and hopeful in the Lord. Simple faith and hope. Do you have it?
