The Glorious Beginning: The Fall (Genesis 3:1-24)

Printer-friendly versionSend by email

The Bible reads like a great story. The first two chapters of Genesis paint the setting for us, but in chapter three conflict is introduced. Everything goes wrong when sin enters the world. In fact, the story is still being written today, as we find ourselves still experiencing the conflict that was begun in Genesis chapter three. But God was not surprised when Adam and Eve sinned, and the story the Bible records is not one of chance. The entire Bible paints God’s plan of redemption that resolves the conflict and ultimately restores the ideal conditions of the Garden where people will once again enjoy uninhibited fellowship with God.
