The Church is Tried (Acts 26)

The Glorious Church (part thirteen)

We, the Church, recognize that the church of Jesus Christ stands on trial before an unbelieving world. We confess the dark stains in the history of Christianity and in our own lives. We accept responsibility for our failure to reflect God's grace and truth. We acknowledge that many of us, too, once looked upon Christians with suspicion. We desire to represent Jesus Christ well as individuals and as a church. We endeavor to give no ammunition to those who would enjoy witnessing our demise. We set Christ apart as Lord in our hearts so we're always ready to give an answer to anyone who asks about the hope we possess.
