The Glorious Church (part eight)

We, the Church, recognize that the Gospel that saved us continues to transform us. We acknowledge that God could directly cause the results He seeks in others, but chooses instead to use imperfect vessels in the process. We confess that we tend to walk in pride, assuming that God is only interested in using us to change others. We want God to change us so He can use us, and we want Him to use us so He can change us. We welcome the Potter’s hands in smoothing out our rough edges. We trust that God never uses an instrument without changing it in the process. We long to be conformed to the image of Christ.
