The Church is Persecuted (Acts 4:1-22)

The Glorious Church (part three)

We, the Church, recognize that the Person and Work of Jesus Christ will not always be popular. We nevertheless proclaim His name among the spiritually dead. We acknowledge that some will resist the message, others will persecute the messenger, and still others will embrace Jesus as Lord and Christ. We pray for boldness to witness in season and out of season. We resolve that persecution will not silence us. We surrender to the power of the Holy Spirit, who occupies our thoughts and words with Jesus. We anticipate the harvest that the Word of God will yield when it finds fertile soil.
