The Church is Fearless (Acts 13 – 14)

The Glorious Church (part nine)

We, the Church, recognize that God alone is worthy of our fear and reverence. We confess that worldly fear often paralyzes us, hindering our obedience to our Master. We admit that we allow our temporary circumstances to rob us of a courageous eternal perspective. We remember the Bible’s constant command to “fear not,” Jesus’ warning against worry, and Paul’s advice against anxiety. We want to fear God and not man. We believe that perfect love casts out fear. We welcome the boldness that results from the Spirit’s filling. We long to fearlessly follow Jesus and be used by Him.
