Add to My Library 1 Corinthians 3:10-15
It may come as a surprise to learn that Christians will face a future judgment. We will stand before Jesus Himself to give an account of our righteous and unrighteous deeds. That’s right: Christians will be judged for our deeds. It’s not going to be like a trial where we’re declared innocent or guilty. Christians have already been declared innocent by the blood of Jesus. Although our response to the Gospel determines our entrance into heaven, our obedience to Christ determines the quality of our eternal life. At the Bema Seat of Christ, the value of our works will be judged and rewards will be distributed accordingly. If you were asked today to give an account of what you have done for the Lord—would you be eager or terrified?
