Adoration

From the Series: Prayer
Printer-friendly versionSend by email

The acronym A-C-T-S provides a wonderful outline for our prayer lives. We should first approach God with Adoration, acknowledging who He is and praising Him for His character and nature. After adoring God, we are acutely more aware of our own sin. That leads us to a time of Confession, when we acknowledge our sin before Him and agree with Him that we daily fall short of His holy standard. Confessing our sins reminds us of Christ’s sacrifice on our behalf and God’s many other blessings in our life. We respond with Thanksgiving for all God has done for us. Finally, we conclude our prayer time with Supplication, asking God to do far beyond all we ask or think. How’s your prayer life? Do you pray like this? Are you in need of a prayer shot?
