Does the Lord’s church have authority to earn interest on its money?

My first, off-the-cuff response is that I don’t see a scriptural problem with it assuming that motives are honoring to God and other principles that govern the making of money in Scripture are being pursued. It does not appear to be explicitly forbidden in Scripture nor is it unfitting according to scriptural principles. I would suggest reading material by Ron Blue who has done a lot of work in this area.
