1-To create a social, informative and interactive site where Christians and Non-Christians can hang out together, in a safe environment, and have the Christian be the light of the world to the non Christians
2- Site to support the formation of communities of interest (COI) that serve and promote that community. Initial community of interest are missionaries, small churches, sunday school and bible study classes, hobbies etc.
2a- Support the Salt-light community that Mike Holman has underway
3- site to be multilingual and support COI's worldwide
4- site will allow any church or author to upload material2 they want to share for free or pay
5- site will develop a worldwide white pages and yellow pages for family friendly entertainment, restaurants, churches and places of worship. It will accept commercial sponsors that sign an “integrity statement” for customer service.
6- site will accept advertising to support the team working on it

Describe the Need/Requirement:
To be more relevant in the future Bible.org needs to be more than just a library site. It needs to develop a presence to a broader base of communities and social networks. It needs to help the church win the relationship war that it is losing to facebook and cell phone texting. We are commanded to be salt and not lose our saltiness in our culture. To do that we must interact with non Christians and build relationships with them so we earn the right to share good news of the gospel.
Describe the Benefit to the community of users:

The general public would benefit form having a concise and trusted content on the web.
Churches would benefit form having all their resources and social interaction for their small missions groups.
Smaller communities would benefit by finding like minded people around the world who share a similar interest and can share their hobby/passion and their faith.
Families can benefit by seeking interest groups, bible studies and just plan fun as a family and spending time together and in the lord
Individuals can benefit from this by being able to find social interaction and sharing their interest with others.

Project description (detailed but not more than a page):

The project would start with a social network and build from there. Adding more and more sites not only to the front end but also to the back. All the sites would be linked together by the search engine. Any search could land you on one or more sites related to the larger network (Trusted World Network??) See mind map referenced “ Christian Social Network” need to add link.

Estimate of the resources required to begin and the time to complete (if known).(including estimates of additional bandwidth costs). The name of any volunteers that are interested in working on the project and any sponsors or funding that has already been identified as available to the project:

Phase one (depending on GCMS delivery) 30 business days 45 calendar days
This would take about 160 hrs. of programming time (aprox $3,200) and a volunteer project manager (free)
This project would benefit from a marketing discussion group, beta testers and content monitors.

Indicate any meaningful or natural development phases of the project (specifically describe a phase 1 for initial operations and a proof of concept):
Phase one would consist of the social network pilot and a marketing plan to get ministry partners and individuals to start using the site.
