Paul concludes his letter to the Romans in the same way he began: Encouraging ongoing obedience to the Gospel. Such obedience requires a watchful eye on troublemakers who seek to deceive believers. Paul instructs those in Rome to be “wise in what is good and innocent in what is evil.” He sends greetings from those accompanying him in Corinth—including Terius, Paul’s scribe. Finally, Paul wants the Romans to be encouraged by the proclamation of Jesus Christ. He ends the letter by focusing on God: “To the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, be glory forever! Amen.”
