What does the author of Hebrews tell us about heaven? How does this compare with what we have already learned? Do we find any new information about heaven? How important was “heaven” to the Old Testament saints? What were the practical implications and applications of looking for heaven? How does this apply to New Testament saints?
What does James tell us about heaven? How does he describe it? Why would James find it necessary to instruct his readers to “be patient” (James 5:8)?
What is the thrust of Peter’s words about heaven in 1 Peter, chapters 1 and 2 and how does this aptly set the stage for the theme of this epistle? What does Peter have to say about heaven in 2 Peter, and how does this support what he has been saying earlier in this epistle?
Notice the interaction between God’s sovereignty and the believer’s responsibility with regard to heaven in Jude’s epistle. What should we learn from this?
Take some time to write down what we learn about heaven from the final chapters of the Book of Revelation. Is there anything new here? How is this an apt way to end the Word of God?
