Searching from the Bible text


1 - The NET Translation
2 - Parallel Verse View. When you highlight a verse, by clicking once on it, you can click the Parallel tab to see this verse in ten translations including NET and KJV.
3 - Daily reading plans including genesis to Revelation, Bible in 90 days and others. Missed a day? select that date on the calendar and read the plan for that day.
4 - The NET Bible Notes for the book you are currently viewing.
5 - See the Greek or Hebrew for the current book you are viewing.
6 - See what Bible.org has in their over 15,000 articles that relate to the current book or selection you are viewing.
7 - Dictionary -See definitions of select names and words form the Bible.
8 - Search - shows the search options when searching.
9 - Drop down book/chapter selector - click here to go to a different book and chapter.

Search

1 - Universal Search - Mouse over to see search options. Can be used for finding terms, passages, quickly go to a book or chapter. Results will display below ( See 2,3,4 and 5)
2 - Shows results to the term being search that can be found in the NET Bible.
3 - Shows results found within Bible.org's 15,000 articles matching your search term.
4 - Show results found within Galaxies Theological Journals. If you have a username and password you can see the enitre selection of Journals. If not you will see only the first few pages.
5 - Shows results from the Internet related to the term you are searching for.
6 - During some search results, such as Isaac used in the example, you can select:
ALL - show all books in the Bible
OT - only shows results related to the Old Testement.
NT - only show results related to the New Testement
EXACT - Wil search for the exact term in the search bar
BY BOOK - allows you to search onl in certian books
7 - You can select if you want your search results in order of importance (Relevance) or in book order (Gen to Rel)

1 - Gives you the options to print as a pdf, the NET Notes or your notes.
2 - Allows you to post which passage you are reading to your Twitter account. (Twiter account required)
3 - Allows you to post which passage you are reading to your Facebook status. (Facebook account required)
4 - If you are logged in ( you can register from the Beta or use your current Bible.org login) you can take and record notes while you are studing the Bible. When you log back in your notes will be available to you. Since this ia a Web Service you can log in from anyone computer from anywhere you have an internet connection.
5 - If you are logged in you can save Bookmarks of your favorite chapters and verses.
6 - You can listen to audio for the chapter you are reading (New Testement only)
7 - Clinking on the link button will provide you a link that you can email that will take someone to the exact view that you see on the NET Bible Online.
Searching from the Bible text
When you double click on a word it will hightlight and a bbox will appear asking you if you want to search the Bible for this term or lookup this term in the Dictionary. Which ever option you select, this will appear on the right side of the study tool.

If you were to select "Search Bible" you results may look something like this.

The word you selected will be highlighted yellow and your results will be on the right side of the tool.
