I read in the NYTimes that The Rev. David Wilkerson, an influential evangelical minister who wrote a best-selling book, “The Cross and the Switchblade,” about his work with drug-addicted youngsters in Brooklyn, was killed Wednesday in a car accident in eastern Texas.
