Background: Bible.org has developed a modern Bible translation, "NET Bible", that is freely given to every one around the world in the spirit of Lev 23:22 . The NET Bible includes over 60,000+ footnotes that helps explain scripture in today's English. Anyone can read and download it.

Goal- (our long term goal is that every person on the Internet have a bible, as God's Word will not return void and it is sharper than any 2 edged sword Heb 4:12-13) In addition to bibles we want to provide trustworthy biblical content and study tools to better understand God's word in their language. We are working on a bible study tools that are both web based and mobile platform based to reach the globe with the gosple message. We need help both volunteer and paid, as well as, technical help and non-technical help.

1- Job Title - Web Programmer ( we have a number of applications and are only reviewing people wanting to volunteer for tasks in this position)

Location - Since we are a Internet company this position can be anywhere, preferably the USA or within an English speaking country.
Job Status - both volunteer and paid starting part time with the option of going full time if both parties agree.
Job Summary - Support and work with our lead programmer
Job Duties and Responsibilities - To work on supporting current projects and assist in the development of new processes and projects.
Working Relationships - This position will report to the lead programmer. They may also get direction from the directors within the organization.
Job Requirements -
- A knowledge and command of PHP and Drupal
- Experience with MYSQL - database design & optimization
- A knowledge and command of Javascript, including jQuery
- Experience and a facility with CSS
- A command of Regular Expressions and experience with text processing
- Ability to manage time well and be productive when working independently
- A heart for serving others and Helping them study the Bible with a Humility and the ability to work well with others
- Also need to be:
  - A self starter
  - Able to follow written and verbal directions
  - Good communications skills
  - Ability to work from assignments and keep semi-detailed notes

2- Job Title - Mobile Device Applications Programmer/Project Manager

( we have a number of applications and are only reviewing people wanting to volunteer for tasks in this position)

The developing world is rapidly moving to the position where the technology in a persons possession is a cell phone or a smart phone. We desperately need to hire and/or partner with people working on mobile aps and programing cell phones.

Job Status - both volunteer and paid starting part time with the option of going full time if both parties agree.
- We are also open to partner with programmers or companies who would like to do the development in partnership and share the revenues that result.
Job Summary - Support and work with our project programing staff
Job Duties and Responsibilities - To work on the development and repackaging our web based products into a mobile environment.
Job Requirements -

- Experience with one or more of the smart phone platforms and/or cell phones
- Ability to manage time well and be productive when working independently
