Mocha on the Mount (Coffee Cup Bible Series)
By: Sandra Glahn
Women's Bible study dealing with the Sermon on the Mount.
In chapters five through seven of Matthew’s gospel we find Christ’s discourse commonly known as “The Sermon on the Mount.” Jesus delivered this sermon at the beginning of his ministry, when He was popular and had a large following. A common refrain of Jesus’ message is “the kingdom is at hand.” Throughout the sermon, Christ presented the requirements for entry into this kingdom: a right relationship with God characterized by righteous living exemplified in the Beatitudes.
Each weekly study in Mocha on the Mount begins with an introduction to be done on Sundays, followed by five days of studying Scripture and making pertinent life applications along the way. The weekly studies are concluded with fitting devotional readings to be read on Saturdays. These devotionals contain an overview of what has been studied throughout the week along with some closing thoughts and a prayer
